The Phalaenopsis orchids are fairly easy and most gratifying to grow in homes. The duration of blooms is minimum 2 months and can extend as long as 3 to 4 months. After bloom period, it is possible to cut the stem at the 3rd node from the base to encourage a 2nd stem in the next flowering period. It is not rare to see Phalaenopsis orchids in bloom all year.
